Sunroute Shinjuku - Tokyo, Shinjuku

Sunroute Shinjuku Hotel Xperience @ Tokyo, Shinjuku

This picture is taken when I am on the Airport Limousine Bus. There is a drop off point at this Hotel!!! Right at the door step! =))

This Hotel is within walking distance, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. Along the way, there are alot of shops and food chains. Cool!!

As mentioned, this is the environment near the hotel! =) Walking towards the Shinjuku station..

Hotel Lobby counter: The room is small, as usual, but very cozy and clean. =) And bright, as you can see!

They uses POLA amenities. They are good!!! Can't find them in Singapore. I tried...

Very clean toilet! The control panel for the toilet bowl =)

Making our way to the Airport Limousine Bus stop. There is also a pick up point at the Hotel, but the frequency is less. Thus, we chose to walk towards the Shinjuku station area for the Bus stop. Leisure walking and last stroll down the Shinjuku street.. *Miss*...

**Remember to check the timing for the Limousine bus, do match it carefully with your flight time! =)
This is a great hotel! It is near to almost everything, all type of food! All the shopping Mall, including Takashimaya, Tokyo Hands, Uniqlo, 24-hour stall, 100 Yen stall, etc etc etc..Whatever you can name, you can find it near here!!!!! Superb! Will definitely return to this hotel..
10 Thumbs up!!

Garden Rose Hotel- Tokyo, Shinjuku

Hotel Rose Garden Xperience @ Tokyo, nishi-Shinjuku

(June 2008)

This Hotel is about 3 minutes walk from the Nishi-Shinjuku station. Look at the next 2 photos. This is the route that we use to the train station. This hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk away from the main Shinjuku area. It is definitely walkable. However, you can also take a 3 minutes walk and then take the Train to the Main shinjuku station, 1 stop away!

The good thing is, since you are mostly going out of Shinjuku, this fact that the Hotel is just next to the Metro staion is great. You can just take a very short walk every time you want to go visit other parts of Tokyo.. Really convenient! There is 1 Jap fast food (buy tickets to exchange for food) named "Song Wu" (Chinese translation) and 2 7-11 type of outlets (not 24hour).

The not so good thing is, you can't get the instant thrill of seeing crowds and colour lightings from the Main Shinjuku area. The instant convenience of getting a bite/drink from the 24 hour stalls. But if you like it more peaceful and quiet, this is the place for you!

This is the Station that I mentioned. M07- Marunouchi Line- Nishi-Shinjuku Station.Corridor of the Hotel...
The room is very small..We always on budget, so we chose the smallest simplest room..

I like it very cozy, 2 footsteps and you reach where you need to go within the room..hahah..

The toilet is very clean, and very 'white'. The toilet bowl is a gadget! haha.. Spray jet and etc, you can play with all the buttons and you can wash wherever you need to with controls.

Based on my experience to Japan/Tokyo, if you are heavy shopper and you have alot of things to carry at the end of the trip, or even before the trip started, method of transferring to and fro the airport is important.

Based on what I know, there are two ways; 1) take train and 2) take the limousine bus-those airport limousine bus. You can take taxi, but its so so so expensive.

If you have alot to carry and alot of trolley bags to drag to and fro the airport, it will be best to take the limousine bus. WhY? Because the train station is always so busy with a lot of people, especially at Shinjuku station! If its the first time you are going there, you will be overwhelmed by the crowd at the station. And there are so many exits and so many sub-lines.. With all the lagguages, OMG, its reallly cumblesome and confusing and frustrating... So it will be best to take the limousine bus that will stop near your Hotel **and you just drag your lagguages for some distance under less crowded condition.

But if you are those light traveller, of course that is not an issue for you. =)
The picture shows the Airport Limousine picking passengers from the Airport.
**As for taking the Airport limousine bus, you must check carefully whether your Hotel is near to the pick up and the drop-off point. So that is also 1 consideration point you can take note of. Some pick up and drop off points are at the hotel itself. But not all the hotel has such a stop. So remember to check. Just Google Airport limousine bus in Tokyo!

Batam- I Hotel (Beside Nagoya Shopping Mall)(2010)

Batam I Hotel Xperience
Well, basically this hotel is really strategically located beside the Nagoya Shopping Mall. This Mall has a number of restaurants, namely the Bistro Godiva Coffee (nothing to do with the Godiva Chocolate brand I think), KFC, Jco Donut, some local food delight eatery like Ayam Penyet and etc. There is also a Cinema, which sells tickets at about SGD$3. *Grin*- The seats are quite big and comfortable. Quality is ok la, can't expect our local quality at SGD$3... There is also the big supermarket that sells very cheap shampoo, shower foam, body cream, body scrub, INDOMee instant noodle, very nice local black sauce and etc etc etc.. So you can spend some time at this shopping Mall. Massage/SPA places are also within walking distant from the Mall. You basically have everything, except the beach.
View of the Shopping Mall from one of the the Hotel room:
The route to the Shopping mall:
** It feels rather unsafe to walk along this route at night...
The very famous Avocado drink from Bistro Godiva Coffee:
-- Beware, do not drink too much. Common consequence is Sore Throat
Where we eat Tze-Tzar and Bak Kut Teh:
Pool-View from the Delux room:
* Room size is about the same as Superior room, but Delux room has a larger bathroom, it comes with a separate standing shower, other than a bath tub.
* There is a Gym, with about 4 threadmill and various type of training stations, beside the pool.

Superior Room:
Comes with bath tub shower, no separate standing shower.

Superior Room:

On the whole, this hotel has a very good location where everything (except the resort and 'beachy' feel) is within reach. Not much transport cost is required.
We do have bad experience, in terms of services and dirty linen. But if such issue is not your concern, its really a good place to stay in!
Enjoy!!
